Update: My novel The Ultimate Threat has gone live on Amazon! The publisher, Endeavour Press of London, UK, has just released it on Amazon world wide. Hallelujah!
You will find it on Amazon.com books here: http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Threat-James-Osborne-ebook/dp/B00YS7SB5M/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8. Friend Greg Bamford was good enough to tip me. You’ll also find with the Amazon listing a summary of the story that I hope will entice you!.
Now, for all of you kind souls with a gentler persuasion, I need to give you fair warning about the story:
The Ultimate Threat is, intentionally, a disturbingly true-to-life glimpse into the heinous crimes against humanity being committed daily by religious extremists. But it is also, I must hasten to add, a deeply compassionate account of the horrendous suffering millions of innocent people are enduring simply because they had the misfortune of being present when those barbarians attacked their homelands.
Five years in the making, The Ultimate Threat is a fictional account based upon the almost unfettered spread of terrorism in recent years across the Middle East, and in Africa and Europe. This unsettling story has then been superimposed onto real settings in American cities. The objective is to bring home to everyone in the West the implications for us of the savagery of ISIS and other barbarians like them, and their wannabe imitators.
Make no mistake, unless we learn how to act more effectively we could find ourselves subjected to the same unspeakable sadism, on a much larger scale than we’ve already seen in New York, Paris, London, Nairobi, Boston, Ottawa . . . the list grows.
On a happier note, amid the unpleasantness in The Ultimate Threat readers also will be invited along to experience the loving, caring and compassionate natures that for millennia have been at the core of our human existence. Will these virtues as personified in our heros, Mark Tremblay and Paige Sanchez, prevail over evil in The Ultimate Threat?
Now you have the opportunity of finding out for yourself.
Congratulations James. It sounds like a really good book. It is a subject that we are horrified by and pray it doesn’t happen to us. I have added your book to my tbr. I look forward to reading it.
